Riyadh International Industry Week 2025 Concludes, Affirming the Kingdom’s Determination to Embrace Technology and Shape the Future of Industry
The Riyadh International Industry Week 2025 concluded its events today with broad participation from decision-makers, investors, and both public and private sector entities. The event established itself as a leading model in organizing major industrial exhibitions, featuring over 500 exhibitors from 20 countries, and helping to open new avenues for collaboration between the public and private sectors, in line with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 to empower the industrial domain.
The week’s activities included specialized exhibitions, scientific forums, panel discussions, and hands-on workshops. Four dedicated exhibitions were held: the Plastics & Petrochemicals Exhibition, the Printing & Packaging Exhibition, the Smart Manufacturing Exhibition, and the Smart Logistics Exhibition. These served to integrate technological and investment solutions under one roof, enabling attendees and participants to explore a comprehensive range of modern technologies and build professional networks that enhance partnership and industrial expansion opportunities.
Key highlights of the week focused on advancing sustainability and integration in industrial fields, promoting digital transformation across supply and production chains. A major milestone was the signing of a strategic agreement between Riyadh Exhibitions Company and Germany’s Messe Düsseldorf to bring three of the world’s leading industrial exhibitions to Saudi Arabia: “K” – the global No.1 trade fair for plastics and rubber, “INTERPACK” – the world’s foremost event for packaging, and “Drupa” – the largest international trade fair for printing technologies. This confirms the Kingdom’s ambition to become a central industrial player in the Middle East.
The event’s wide-ranging content revolved around themes such as localization strategies, the future of smart factories, supply chain integration, and industrial financing. Accompanying sessions featured specialized presentations from government and private entities, sharing developmental initiatives and success stories that demonstrated enhanced factory efficiency and improved production outcomes, while maintaining a strong commitment to sustainability and reducing environmental impact.
On the final day of the exhibition, a series of technical showcases and applied workshops underscored the Kingdom’s deep commitment to industrial digital transformation. Local case studies highlighted the use of 3D printing in metal manufacturing to improve production precision and reduce waste. Additional presentations covered eco-friendly plastic solutions using innovative formulations to reduce energy consumption and improve material durability, as well as artificial intelligence systems capable of predicting failures before they occur. Attendees also explored miniature “digital factory” models that use virtual reality to train workers, helping reduce costs and enhance vocational training efficiency.
In the same context, scientific contributions on the last day focused on sustainability, including practical studies on the use of solar energy in industrial operations and the integration of photovoltaic cells into production environments.
