Volunteers Contribute Over 519,000 Hours at the Prophet's Mosque in 2025
A total of 27,154 male and female volunteers engaged in various efforts to support worshippers and visitors at the Prophet's Mosque, contributing 519,396 volunteer hours throughout 2025.
The General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Prophet's Mosque reported that volunteers participated in 373 different opportunities during the past year. These activities were part of a comprehensive ecosystem designed to serve the worshippers and visitors. Services provided by the volunteers included welcoming and guiding visitors, managing crowds during prayer times, assisting older people and individuals with disabilities, and distributing meals at designated areas for breaking the fast. Additionally, volunteers distributed drinking water, provided spatial and informational guidance, and helped introduce interactive guidance screens in multiple languages. They also collaborated with relevant authorities to provide field medical and ambulance services, translation and guidance for non-Arabic speakers, and support for female visitors through enriched pathways.
