Tajik President Receives Saudi Fund for Development CEO

President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahman received here today Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) CEO Sultan Al-Marshad, who is on a visit to the country.

 They discussed the strong development ties between both sides spanning over 20 years, and ways to enhance development cooperation to finance vital sectors in Tajikistan.

 Al-Marshad's visit also includes signing a development agreement in the transportation and communication sector, as well as laying the foundation stone for an education project in Tajikistan.

 Since beginning operations in Tajikistan in 2002, SFD has supported 14 development projects and programs, providing concessional loans totaling over $323 million across vital sectors aimed at improving quality of life.
