'Five Senses Experience' of Two Holy Mosques Highlighted at Umrah Forum

The General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque is participating in the third Umrah and Ziyarah Forum in Madinah with an interactive pavilion focused on 'the five senses experience' in the two holy mosques. The pavilion offers an immersive journey that highlights efforts to enhance visitor services while reflecting the spiritual significance of the two holy mosques.

The auditory section showcases the development of sound systems, including primary, backup, and emergency networks, supported by an advanced infrastructure of thousands of speakers and dozens of microphones. Visitors can also listen to recordings of the imams and muezzins.

In the tactile section, visitors explore materials used in the mosques' floors, particularly Thassos marble, known for its temperature-regulating properties. It also highlights carpets and services for the visually impaired, including Braille and electronic copies of the Holy Quran.

The olfactory experience introduces the fragrances used in the two holy mosques and presents an interactive display on the ritual washing of the Holy Kaaba.

The visual section features 3D models and displays of key landmarks and architectural elements, alongside selected artifacts. The experience concludes with a taste-focused experience centered on Zamzam water, including a detailed 3D model of the Zamzam well and an explanation of its supply and distribution system for visitors.
