Ebola Deaths in Democratic Republic of the Congo Exceed 5,000

 The death toll from the Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo has risen to 5,026 out of 10,351 confirmed cases, according to Health Ministry data released on Saturday, a fatality rate of nearly 50%.
 A World Health Organization official said a third of the deaths occurred outside treatment centers, before patients could be tested, complicating efforts to contain the outbreak.
