NCW Launches Cooperation Program with IUCN to Strengthen Wildlife Conservation
The National Center for Wildlife (NCW) has launched a cooperation program with the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) aimed at strengthening institutional and human capacities in wildlife conservation and biodiversity sustainable development, enhancing the management of the center’s protected-area network, and facilitating the exchange of technical expertise.
The NCW seeks to expand its international partnerships in wildlife conservation and biodiversity protection, leverage global environmental expertise, and strengthen coordination with leading international organizations.
The program includes future planning and coordination to reinforce national capabilities in biodiversity protection, apply international standards for ecosystem conservation, and develop environmental work methodologies in line with global best practices. It also supports the protection of endangered species, the development of effective mechanisms for managing nature reserves, the promotion of environmental scientific research, the exchange of knowledge and technical expertise, and the building of institutional and human capacity in related fields.
The cooperation builds on the 2024 agreement between NCW and IUCN, which laid the foundation for a structured partnership in wildlife development and biodiversity enhancement and reflects the continued strengthening of their institutional relations.
