Saudi Pavilion Concludes Participation at Eurosatory 2026 in Paris, Unlocking High-Value Investment Opportunities in the Military Industries Sector
The Saudi Pavilion concluded its participation at Eurosatory 2026, the Global Event for Defence and Security, reinforcing Saudi Arabia’s position as a leading investment destination in the military industries sector.
The pavilion successfully opened new avenues for high-value investment by showcasing promising opportunities and an enabling regulatory environment, further enhancing the attractiveness of the Kingdom’s military industries sector and drawing strong interest from leading international companies seeking strategic partnerships that support localization objectives. Organized by the General Authority for Military Industries (GAMI), with participation of 10 Saudi entities from the public and private sectors, the Saudi Pavilion was held in Paris, from 15 to 19 June 2026.
The Saudi Pavilion’s participation reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s commitment to welcoming investors from around the world and highlighted the Kingdom’s efforts to localize more than 50% of military spending by 2030.
During the Saudi Pavilion’s participation at Eurosatory 2026, His Excellency the Governor of the General Authority for Military Industries (GAMI), Eng. Ahmad bin Abdulaziz Al-Ohali, met with His Excellency the Delegate General for Armaments at the French Directorate General of Armament (DGA), Mr. Patrick Pailloux, and held a number of productive meetings with representatives of leading global defence companies. These meetings explored ways to enhance joint cooperation in the military industries sector, exchange expertise, and develop a sustainable military industries sector that increases the readiness of military equipment, enhances self-sufficiency, and effectively contributes to the national economy.
The Saudi participation at the exhibition witnessed the signing of several agreements and memoranda of understanding, as part of GAMI’s efforts to advance Saudi Arabia’s military industries sector, enhance supply chains, and enable strategic partnerships. Among them was a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between the General Authority for Defense Development (GADD) and (Agence Innovation Defense) to cooperate in the innovation of military and defence technologies and systems.
In addition, the World Defense Show (WDS) signed two agreements. The first was with (Global Affairs Canada) to establish the first Canadian national pavilion at World Defense Show 2028, while the second was signed with the Developed East Manufacturing Holding (DEMCO) to become a Distinguished Partner of the fourth edition of the exhibition.
(GDC Middle East) signed a MoU with (DCI Group) to facilitate the transfer of specialized expertise and know-how, in addition to develop maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services. (Emaan Industrial) also signed a MoU with (KT-Shelter) to transfer technology and localize the manufacturing of temporary protective shelter solutions for air and land systems.
Additionally, (Midana) signed MoU with several companies including (B2SPACE) to cooperate in the testing and qualification of space and satellite technologies; (EMITECH) to cooperate in qualification, test engineering, and advanced technologies for the defense and space sectors; and (DSA) to cooperate in capability building and knowledge transfer related to NATO standards and specifications in the military industries sector.
On the sidelines of the Saudi Pavilion’s participation at the exhibition, the General Authority for Military Industries (GAMI) organized a workshop entitled “Developing Supply Chains in the Military Industries Sector,” held with the participation of the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources (MIM), Saudi Arabian Military Industries (SAMI), and the National Company for Mechanical Systems (NCMS).
The workshop addressed the role of the Industrial Participation Program in activating more than 60 agreements with leading global companies operating across the military industries sector. It also highlighted the contribution of integrated efforts with GAMI’s partners from the public and private sectors in providing an attractive investment environment for local and international investors, contributing to the development of a diversified and prosperous economy within the sector.
The workshop also reviewed the National Industrial Strategy’s role in positioning the Kingdom as a global industrial hub. As well as the contribution of SAMI’s Rokan Program in developing local capabilities that support growth, enablement, and sustainability, in addition to highlighting the role of NCMS in localizing defence and security technologies and industries.
Throughout the exhibition, the Saudi pavilion showcased the integrated collaborative efforts between government entities, highlighted national industrial and service capabilities, and the innovative technologies offered by participating Saudi companies.
The Saudi Pavilion also highlighted Kingdom’s attractive investment environment by showcasing the enablers and incentives that facilitate the investor journey. Visitors praised the remarkable progress achieved by the Kingdom’s military industries sector and recognized the ambitious vision driving its continued growth within this vital sector.
During the exhibition, GAMI highlighted the sector’s significant growth, with its contribution to GDP increasing from SAR 2.2 billion in 2021 to SAR 6.6 billion in 2024. The localization of military spending also reached nearly 25% in 2024, marking significant progress toward the Kingdom’s objective of localizing more than 50% of military spending by 2030.
GAMI emphasized that the Saudi Pavilion’s participation at Eurosatory2026 further strengthened the Kingdom’s position as a trusted international partner, expanded its strategic network with leading global companies, and provided national companies with a platform to showcase their capabilities while exploring growth and expansion opportunities in global markets.
