International Report Commends SDAIA, ICAIRE Efforts in Supporting Global South Development

A report issued by the Ministry of Economy and Planning in cooperation with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) commended Saudi Arabia's efforts in supporting development and cooperation with Global South countries through knowledge transfer, capacity building, and artificial intelligence solutions.
 The report highlighted the Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA) pivotal role in leveraging AI as a driver of inclusive and sustainable development, and reviewed initiatives by the International Center for Artificial Intelligence Research and Ethics (ICAIRE) in Riyadh, operating under the auspices of UNESCO, in supporting international cooperation in responsible AI through research, policy development, and capacity building.
 Among the highlighted initiatives is "Elevate," which aims to train 25,000 women worldwide in AI and digital technology skills, having already reached more than 6,000 beneficiaries in more than 60 countries, particularly in Global South nations.
