Historic WWE’s 'Night of Champions' Concludes in Riyadh Amid Fan Excitement

WWE’s “Night of Champions” concluded Saturday evening at Kingdom Arena in Riyadh. Part of Riyadh Season, the event featured six world-class matches, including major title fights and pivotal moments for the participating superstars. The event drew a massive crowd and a significant global audience.

The evening began with the "King of the Ring" final, featuring WWE stars Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton in a clash that embodied a generational showdown. Both wrestlers showcased their unique styles in the ring, heightening the excitement of the fans. Rhodes triumphed after escaping the RKO twice. Orton attempted to remove the turnbuckle pad to gain an advantage, but the move backfired when he accidentally hit the exposed corner. Rhodes seized the opportunity to land Cross Rhodes and secure the win, earning a title shot at SummerSlam.

The second match featured a Street Fight between Rhea Ripley and Raquel Rodriguez, with action spilling out of the ring. Ripley won after delivering a Riptide from a table positioned on the ring ropes.

In the third bout, fan-favorite Sami Zayn faced veteran Karrion Kross in a non-title match. Zayn rallied for a surprising victory despite Kross controlling much of the action.

Next, Jacob Fatu and Solo Sikoa squared off in a physical encounter for the United States Championship, marked by intense grappling and powerful exchanges. Sikoa tried to slow Fatu’s pace. J.C. Matteo interfered, but Fatu overcame the disruption. However, the tide turned when Hikuleo made his WWE debut, slamming Fatu through the announcers’ table with a chokeslam. Sikoa then hit his Samoan Spike, pinning Fatu for the win.

The fifth bout was the "Queen of the Ring" final, where Asuka faced Jade Cargill. Cargill won after a competitive fight.

The night culminated in a massive main event for the Undisputed WWE Championship, featuring John Cena and CM Punk, reigniting their storied rivalry. The match included multiple interruptions from several wrestlers, but Cena retained his title with help from Seth Rollins, who disrupted Punk’s momentum.
