NWC Ensures Abundant Water Supply for Post-Hajj Season in Madinah
The National Water Company (NWC), represented by its northwestern sector, has confirmed its operational readiness for the post-Hajj season 1446 AH, committing to distribute over 630,000 cubic meters of potable water daily to serve pilgrims at the Prophet’s Mosque and across Madinah, in alignment with the wise leadership’s directives to mobilize all resources and ensure pilgrims can perform their rituals with ease.
The company noted that its readiness for the post-Hajj season in Madinah builds on its continuing efforts to serve pilgrims and visitors to the Prophet’s Mosque this year. This operational plan is being implemented by more than 1,203 employees, including technical, administrative, and engineering staff, working around the clock to provide high-efficiency water and environmental services.
The NWC emphasized that the plan includes securing strategic water storage and effective coordination with water production and distribution systems. Under this plan, more than 630,000 cubic meters of water will be supplied daily during the post-Hajj season through uninterrupted 24/7 pumping to the central area and religious sites. Chemical and biological testing are also conducted to ensure full compliance with approved water quality standards and specifications.
The company stressed that the smart operation system continues to manage, monitor, and control the water network in Madinah, overseeing water pressure and quality in pipelines and reservoirs while ensuring top level service delivery.
