Saudi Electronic University Advances 123 Positions Globally in 2025 UI GreenMetric Ranking

The Saudi Electronic University achieved a significant advancement in the UI GreenMetric Ranking for 2025, rising 123 global positions to reach 655th worldwide and sixth locally, compared with 778th worldwide and seventh locally in the 2024 ranking.
 This ranking is one of the leading international indicators for measuring university performance in sustainability, with the participation of 1,745 universities from 105 countries.
 The university’s progress resulted from improvements across most ranking pillars. It recorded a notable increase of 275 points in the transportation pillar, 175 points in the education and research pillar, and 125 points in the energy and climate change pillar. Additional improvements included a 50-point rise in the waste pillar and 45 points in the settings and infrastructure pillar, while maintaining the same performance level in the water pillar.
