Saudi Arabia’s $270 Million Investment Transforms Global Learning
On International Day of Education, observed annually on January 24, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s commitment to education as a vital pillar of global development, having implemented 177 educational projects worth over $270 million across 31 countries on three continents.
These initiatives focus on crisis-affected regions, including Palestine, Yemen, Syria, Sudan, and Somalia, by ensuring the continuity of learning through school rehabilitation, teacher training, and specialized support for children with disabilities. Key activities include providing essential school equipment and supplies, implementing alternative education programs in disaster-affected areas, and offering scholarships and technical assistance to underserved schools.
Through strategic partnerships with the United Nations agencies UNICEF, UNESCO, and the International Organization for Migration (IOM), KSrelief continues to bridge the educational gap in disaster-stricken areas. These collaborative efforts reinforce the Kingdom's role in driving sustainable development and protecting human dignity by ensuring quality education for the world's most vulnerable populations.
