Under Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ Directive, Palestinian Child Receives Medical Treatment in Saudi Arabia

Under the directive of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and based on the recommendation of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Palestinian child Mohammed Khaled Hijazi, 7 years old, has arrived in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia accompanied by his family to receive medical treatment.

Upon arrival, he was transferred to King Khaled Eye Specialist Hospital and Research Center in Riyadh to receive the necessary treatment.

Advisor at the Royal Court and Supervisor General of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) Dr. Abdullah Al Rabeeah expressed gratitude to the Kingdom’s leadership for the humanitarian initiative.

The child had lost his right eye and suffered serious injury to the left in an explosion near his home in Jabalia camp, northern Gaza, last March.

Dr. Al Rabeeah said the gesture reflects Saudi Arabia’s ongoing efforts to support the Palestinian people during crises, particularly vulnerable groups such as children, who often suffer the most in conflict. He emphasized that the initiative is part of the Kingdom’s humanitarian approach, led by KSrelief, which extends aid without discrimination based on race, gender, or religion, and is rooted in principles of compassion and solidarity.

The family of Mohammed thanked the Saudi leadership for providing care for their son and said the gesture was consistent with the Kingdom’s historic support for the Palestinian people.
