The Deputy Minister for Industrial Development at the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, Eng. Abdulaziz bin Majid Al-Ahmadi, officially inaugurated today the events of the “Riyadh International Industry Week 2025.” The event is taking place at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center with the participation of more than 524 local and international companies from 20 countries, in the presence of several government officials, local and international experts, and investors in the industrial sector.
During the opening ceremony, Al-Ahmadi emphasized the importance of this event and its role as a key enabler for boosting growth in the industrial sector and creating quality partnerships among the various sectors represented at the exhibition.
He added that the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, along with the broader governmental ecosystem, is working in full coordination to establish genuine partnerships with the private sector. He noted that the National Industrial Strategy has identified 15 key industrial enablers in the Kingdom, structured around four main pillars: the integration and resilience of supply chains, enhancement of the industrial regulatory environment, increased exports and market access, and finally, research, development, and innovation. These enablers encompass more than 136 initiatives currently being implemented by government entities.
For his part, His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Turki bin Faisal Al Saud, Chairman of Riyadh Exhibitions Company Ltd., welcomed the attendees and affirmed that the “Riyadh International Industry Week 2025” represents a continuation of the Ministry’s efforts to highlight investment opportunities and enhance the Kingdom’s position as a regional industrial hub. He pointed out that this year’s edition aligns with the future directions of the industrial sector by offering innovative solutions that serve the future of national industry, praising the significant support from sponsors, participants, and decision-makers for this major industrial event.
During the opening, His Highness also announced the signing of a strategic agreement between Riyadh Exhibitions Company and the German company Messe Düsseldorf to host and organize three of the world’s most prominent industrial exhibitions: “K,” the leading global trade fair for plastics and rubber industries; “INTERPACK,” the foremost international event for packaging and processing; and “Drupa,” the world’s largest exhibition for printing technologies. He confirmed that this collaboration marks a strategic step toward solidifying the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s position as a regional center for industrial innovation and a premier destination for hosting specialized international exhibitions.
The “Riyadh International Industry Week 2025” features four specialized industrial exhibitions: the Saudi Plastics and Petrochemicals Exhibition, the Printing and Packaging Exhibition, the Smart Manufacturing Exhibition, and the Saudi Smart Logistics Exhibition. It is accompanied by an industrial forum that includes a series of panel discussions with more than 50 local and international speakers, including top executives and experts in manufacturing, supply chains, and digital transformation. The event is expected to attract over 25,000 visitors during its course.
