Najran University has obtained a patent from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for an innovative medical AI system that provides an advanced method for assessing and monitoring patients’ levels of consciousness.
Designed for comatose patients, the system utilizes AI and computer vision to evaluate eye movements, sensory responses, and audio reactions. It automatically analyzes these indicators and accurately correlates them with the Glasgow Coma Scale, providing real-time assessments of a patient’s neurological state.
