GCC Interconnection Authority Joins Utilities for Net Zero Alliance
The GCC Interconnection Authority has announced its official membership in the Utilities for Net Zero Alliance (UNEZA), marking a key milestone in its commitment to environmental sustainability and advancing the regional energy transition.
This membership paves the way for the authority to collaborate with global energy sector leaders, share best practices, and adopt effective solutions to improve the efficiency, reliability, and sustainability of energy systems.
UNEZA comprises over 50 member entities with a combined market value nearing $1 trillion, serving more than 340 million consumers worldwide. It focuses on key priorities such as mitigating supply chain risks, supporting regulatory frameworks and policies, and mobilizing funding to modernize electrical infrastructure.
