KSrelief Lays Foundation Stone for Project to Construct, Rehabilitate 13 Schools in Yemen

The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) laid the foundation stone for a project to construct and rehabilitate 13 schools in Lahij and Al-Dhale governorates in Yemen, in the presence of Yemeni Minister of Education Dr. Adel Abdulmajeed Al-Abbadi and Lahij Governor Murad Ali Al-Halimi. The project is part of the program to support the continuity of education in Yemen.

 The project includes the construction of 45 new classrooms, the rehabilitation of four schools, the improvement of water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) facilities, the furnishing of classrooms, and the installation of solar energy systems at several schools. It aims to improve the learning environment in the targeted schools, provide a safe and stimulating school environment, enhance children's access to quality education, and reduce classroom overcrowding, benefiting 59,851 individuals.

 The Yemeni minister of education stressed the strategic importance of these projects at this stage, emphasizing their vital role in strengthening the education sector's infrastructure and improving the quality of its outcomes.

 He highly praised Saudi Arabia's support through KSrelief, commending the complementary role of the local authorities and the center in ensuring the success of development projects that meet the aspirations and needs of the affected communities in Yemen.

 The project comes within the framework of the humanitarian efforts provided by Saudi Arabia through its humanitarian arm, KSrelief, to support Yemen's education system and provide schools and educational institutions with their essential needs.
