Beit Alsharbatly Enriches Cultural Scene during Historic Jeddah Summer

Beit Alsharbatly in Historic Jeddah represents a renewed model for revitalizing heritage buildings through culture and knowledge, utilizing its historical value to host high-quality programs that enrich the cultural landscape and strengthen the historic district's position as a cultural, educational, and tourism destination.

 The house is offering a series of summer programs that combine skills development and creativity. Among them is the ongoing "Debate Camp 2026," which provides participants with training focused on developing critical thinking, building persuasive arguments, and refining dialogue skills while promoting a culture of constructive discussion and the exchange of ideas.

 As part of these activities, Beit Alsharbatly will launch a summer program for children and teenagers from August 16 to 20, featuring four hands-on workshops that combine architecture, design, and programming. The program offers practical learning experiences in an environment inspired by the architectural identity of Historic Jeddah.

 Children will take part in interactive activities focused on programming the history of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and designing digital games, while teenagers will participate in workshops inspired by Hejazi architecture. The workshops encourage participants to reimagine historic spaces and develop design concepts that combine creativity with local identity, enhancing innovation and design-thinking skills.

 Built in 1917, Beit Alsharbatly is one of the most prominent architectural landmarks in Historic Jeddah. Overlooking Bayah Square and Al-Arbaeen Lagoon, it continues to serve as a cultural venue hosting initiatives and educational programs, reflecting Historic Jeddah's approach to repurposing heritage buildings as vibrant centers for culture, learning, and community engagement while preserving their identity and ensuring their long-term cultural significance.
