Ministry of Interior: A Nation in Safety

The Ministry of Interior in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia represents the backbone of security and stability. It is not merely a traditional security apparatus, but rather a comprehensive national institution whose responsibilities extend to encompass everyone living on the land of this benevolent nation, be they citizens or residents. Thanks to the unlimited support from our wise leadership—the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Trustworthy Crown Prince (may God protect them)—the follow-up of His Royal Highness the Minister of Interior, and a belief in the Kingdom's Vision 2030, the Ministry has transformed into a shining model in providing advanced security and civil services that place the citizen and resident at the heart of its concerns.

The greatness of its performance cannot be understood without looking at the synergy of the agencies under the Ministry, which work in harmony to achieve means of secure living:

- Public Security: This is the impregnable fortress guarding the boundaries of safety in society, through the efforts of security personnel deployed in every street and neighborhood to prevent crime and pursue criminals. This makes the Kingdom one of the safest countries in the world.

- Civil Defense: These are the knights of emergency who confront the dangers of fires and disasters with all courage and sacrifice. Their efforts in firefighting, rescue, and ambulance services save lives and property, embodying the highest meanings of humanity.

- Traffic Department: Its efforts are no longer limited to regulating violations but have expanded to become an active partner in spreading traffic culture, improving driver behavior, and developing road infrastructure, striving to reduce accidents and protect road users.

- Civil Status Agency: This is the nation's digital identity, managing population records and providing essential identity documents (National ID, Family Card, Birth Certificate) and many other important documents, thereby organizing civil life and preserving rights.

Perhaps the most prominent feature of the qualitative transformation in the Ministry's services is the unified digital platform "Absher." From their homes, beneficiaries can now obtain dozens of services that previously required hours of waiting and submitting papers and documents—from renewing IDs and passports to residency services for expatriates, job notification services, and even judicial and security services.

"Absher" was not just a technical application; it was a message that the comfort of the citizen and resident is the priority. It has saved time, effort, and money for millions, contributed to raising the efficiency of government performance, reduced traffic congestion, and enhanced transparency and the fight against corruption. It is a purely Saudi success story that has become admired by many countries.

Behind these successes and achievements stands His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif, the Minister of Interior, and his wise leadership of this massive system, along with his constant keenness to develop it to rank among the best ministries globally. Furthermore, every individual within the Ministry—from leadership to security, traffic, and civil defense personnel, civil status employees, and all sectors—plays a role in this success through the tremendous efforts and countless sacrifices they make, day and night, in cities and remote areas, to protect this nation and serve its citizens and residents.

The work of the Ministry of Interior is a living embodiment of the slogan "Citizen First." It is truly the nation's trustworthy shield and the support of its people. May God reward them with all good on our behalf and the nation's behalf, and may He protect our country from all harm.
