SDAIA, Hajj Ministry Partner to Strengthen Data Awareness Among Pilgrim Service Companies
The Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA), in collaboration with the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, intensified its awareness efforts targeting companies serving pilgrims by strengthening understanding of data governance and personal data protection, while promoting compliance with regulatory frameworks and reducing improper data-handling practices.
The initiative was carried out through a specialized workshop attended by representatives of more than 200 companies serving pilgrims from within the Kingdom and around the world, in addition to over 70 ministry officials.
These efforts focused on empowering companies serving pilgrims to implement best practices in data management, including data classification and data quality standards, which contribute to enhancing the reliability and accuracy of data used to develop and improve services for pilgrims.
They also help increase operational efficiency, support informed decision-making, and strengthen data integration and information sharing among entities across the Hajj and Umrah ecosystem.
These efforts fall within the framework of SDAIA’s role as the Kingdom’s national reference authority for data and AI and demonstrate its commitment to advancing data awareness among government entities, private-sector organizations, and individuals.
