Saudi Reef Supports Over 87,000 Beneficiaries Across Saudi Arabia's Rural Communities
The Sustainable Agricultural Rural Development Program (Saudi Reef) announced the number of its beneficiaries has reached 87,235 across various regions of the Kingdom, as part of its efforts to promote economic and social stability in rural areas and support agricultural craftsmen and families working in the cottage industry.
Saudi Reef Assistant Secretary-General for Media and Communication Majed Al-Buraikan said the generous support the program receives from the Saudi leadership has contributed to expanding the beneficiary base and achieving tangible results on the ground, noting that this accomplishment reflects the Kingdom’s ongoing efforts to support the agricultural sector and advance rural areas.
He pointed out that the program operates along several main pillars, including the development of agricultural and livestock production, the empowerment of rural women, and support for small-scale fishermen. It also focuses on improving product quality and enhancing added value, highlighting that these sectors are key pillars in supporting sustainable rural development and creating income opportunities for families across the regions.
Al-Buraikan said Saudi Reef continues to provide direct support, qualification, and training programs aimed at improving the quality of life in rural areas and increasing the agricultural sector’s contribution to the gross domestic product, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
