Madinah Regional Municipality has completed the development of three squares in the central area to enhance the urban landscape and visual identity surrounding the Prophet’s Mosque.

This initiative has enhanced the visitor experience and introduced aesthetic improvements during this year’s Hajj season. Key developments include the creation of three squares covering 23,500 square meters, the planting of 456 shade trees, and upgrades to the urban landscape. Additionally, 3,164 square meters of vehicle pathways were constructed, while 105 decorative lighting poles were installed to beautify the central area and the routes leading to the mosque.

The projects also included paving 12,900 square meters, covering 1,650 square meters with natural grass, and creating 2,900 square meters of planting beds. These efforts reflect the municipality’s commitment to improving the urban landscape and ensuring the comfort of pilgrims.
