KSrelief Rehabilitation Programs Transform the Lives of Youth Worldwide

The noble humanitarian mission of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), is evident. KSrelief's role is not limited to providing humanitarian aid alone, but also extends to addressing the core of sustainable development, particularly through its support for youth. KSrelief places youth and the development of their skills at the heart of its priorities, as they represent the backbone of the future of societies. KSrelief celebrates World Youth Skills Day, which falls on July 15 each year, to highlight the international relief and humanitarian efforts it has provided to young people.
KSrelief has implemented specialized projects for youth in Palestine, Yemen, Tajikistan, Somalia, Indonesia, Jordan, Chad, Syria, and other countries. Projects and programs range from vocational training and support for small businesses to capacity building and providing the necessary tools to enter the labor market, thereby improving livelihoods and enhancing sustainable employment opportunities.
In Yemen, KSrelief implemented the empowering youth and improving livelihoods project, which trained 1,250 beneficiaries in vocational and administrative skills.
In Tajikistan, 3,600 young people benefited from computer and English language training programs.
KSrelief also supported youth in Somalia, where 570 young people received advanced vocational and entrepreneurial training.
In Syria, KSrelief established community care centers dedicated to providing psychological and social services, as well as vocational rehabilitation. It trained 29,988 individuals in various technical and vocational skills, and presented a range of cinematic, sports, and entertainment programs. The goal was to enhance their social adaptation capabilities, develop their professional skills, and enhance their responsiveness to modern technologies and crafts.
In Jordan, KSrelief provided educational and vocational services in the Zaatari camp for Syrian refugees, reaching 4,468 individuals who received training in computer skills and vocational crafts.
A volunteer training program was also implemented in Indonesia, including 440 young people in the fields of first aid and search and rescue.
In N'Djamena, Chad, the center trained 270 women in sewing, embroidery, culinary arts, and computer maintenance, enabling them to find sustainable sources of income.
In Palestine, KSrelief established a vocational and technical center for women in need, training them in food processing, microfinance management, and handicrafts, in partnership with local community institutions, within the framework of integrated economic support and social empowerment.
KSrelief efforts aim to inspire hope, enhance confidence, and harness the latent potential of youth. These efforts reflect the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's commitment to building and empowering human capital in countries in need and affected by crises, aligning with the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals.
