Aroya Cruises Sets Sail for Mediterranean Ahead of New Season Launch

Aroya Cruises, the first Arab cruise line in the Kingdom and a subsidiary of the Public Investment Fund’s (PIF)wholly-owned Cruise Saudi, announced that its cruise ship Aroya set sail yesterday for the Mediterranean Sea in preparation for the launch of its inaugural season in the region on June 28.

The vessel is scheduled to arrive June 20 at Galataport in Istanbul, which will serve as its homeport for Mediterranean voyages. The ship will make stops in the Turkish coastal cities of Kaş and Bodrum en route.

Starting at the end of June and running through mid-September, Aroya will sail across the Eastern Mediterranean on itineraries ranging from six to seven nights. The cruises will feature top regional destinations including Kaş, Bodrum, and Marmaris in Turkiye; Athens, Mykonos, Rhodes, and Souda Bay in Greece; and Alexandria in Egypt. Passengers will enjoy a journey that blends destination discovery with authentic experiences inspired by Arab heritage.

The Mediterranean season follows the successful debut of Aroya Cruises in the Red Sea in December, when it welcomed over 70,000 guests on voyages that included stops in Egypt, Jordan, and the private destination of Jabal Al-Sabayya Island’s Saba Beach.
