EXPRO Academy: Strategic Training Programs Bolster National Capabilities
The Academy of the Government Expenditure and Projects Efficiency Authority (EXPRO) is playing a pivotal role in strengthening national capabilities within Saudi Arabia's government agencies. Since its inception, the academy has focused on aligning its training programs with the strategic objectives of the Human Capacity Development Program, a key component of the Kingdom's Vision 2030.
The academy fosters a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship among government employees by providing high-quality knowledge.
In the first half of 2024, the academy trained over 1,400 employees from over 75 government agencies through 40 workshops. These programs emphasize change management, aiming to build the capabilities of national cadres and equip them with expertise in spending efficiency. The training also covers crucial areas such as government procurement, planning, project management, and efficient asset and facility management.
The academy is dedicated to adopting and promoting best practices and methodologies, following the authority's national guidelines.
The academy specializes in designing, developing, and implementing tailored training programs. It works closely with government partners to enhance human resources skills. These initiatives empower government agencies through sustainable capacity-building solutions while also measuring the impact and effectiveness of the knowledge acquired by participants.
The academy has established numerous partnerships, formalized through memoranda of understanding and cooperation agreements with local and international entities. These collaborations aim to amplify the academy's impact on national capability building.
Recognizing the academy's significant contributions, EXPRO was awarded the "Best Executive and Leadership Program" at the HRSE KSA Awards, part of the Human Resources Summit and Saudi Expo 2024. This award was given in recognition of the authority's outstanding efforts in human resources development, selected from over 130 nominees from local, Gulf, and Arab entities.
EXPRO's broader mission includes contributing to spending efficiency in government agencies, improving procurement operations, enhancing project quality, and optimizing asset and facility management. The authority is also focused on developing policies, systems, and methodologies that align with these goals, all while building and qualifying the capabilities of national cadres to support the Kingdom's Vision 2030 objectives.
