"Hotel de Russie, a Rocco Forte hotel"... The Epitome of Refined Hotel Luxury in Rome
Located in the heart of the Italian capital, Rome, Hotel de Russie is distinguished by its architecture and vibrant daily life, where the scenic details and the city's experience intertwine, making the hotel feel like an integral part of Rome's ancient and elegant story.
From the very first moment of my second visit to this unique hotel, renowned for its exceptional services, I realized that it still maintains its refined standards. Furthermore, it continues to attract guests from all over the world throughout the day, despite the changing and turbulent circumstances the world is currently going through.
Moreover, the warm reception and generous hospitality I received from the Hotel's Management and staff, from the moment of my arrival until departure, reaffirm their deep commitment to providing exceptional guest experience and fulfilling every expectation of high-end service. This refined treatment left a profound impact on me, giving me a strong incentive to visit again in the future, especially since the positive impression the hotel gives to its guests is one of the most important factors that encourage them to return and recommend it to others.
Another remarkable aspect is that the hotel management's care for the guests is not limited to providing basic services; it extends to anticipating their needs and foreseeing what can enhance their comfort throughout their stay. This approach reflects an elevated culture of hospitality, rooted in caring for the guests, valuing their privacy, and providing an atmosphere that makes them feel they are in a place dedicated to their comfort and happiness.

In my estimation, the hotel's success in building a positive relationship with its guests relies not only on the quality of its facilities and services, but even more so on exceptional service, meticulous attention to detail, and a genuine commitment to the guest satisfaction. Together, these elements create a truly exceptional hotel experience, offering guests a profound sense of welcome and appreciation, fostering a deeper connection to the destination, and inspiring them to return on every future visit.
Dating back to the 19th century, the hotel is located on the elegant Via del Babuino, nestled between two of Rome's most famous squares, Piazza di Spagna and Piazza del Popolo, and just a short stroll from Via Margutta, as well as premier shopping streets and iconic landmarks. This central location offers a significant advantage to the guest experience, allowing visitors to step out on foot and discover much of Rome's historic heart without ever feeling disconnected from the vibrant rhythm of the city.
The hotel features 117 rooms and suites, distinguished by Italian marble, refined fabrics and artistic details. Guests can also unwind at the 600-square-metre Irene Forte Spa, an urban wellness sanctuary overlooking the Secret Garden. Facilities include a saltwater hydrotherapy pool, sauna, steam room and fully equipped gym, alongside a range of spa and wellness treatments. The hotel’s historic Secret Garden, originally designed by Italian architect Giuseppe Valadier, combines terraces, fountains, sculptures and rich planting to create a tranquil oasis in the heart of the city.
Among the hotel’s signature accommodations are the Picasso Suite, named after the celebrated Spanish artist who stayed at the hotel in 1917, and the top-floor Popolo Suite, with its wraparound terrace overlooking Piazza del Popolo. The Presidential Nijinsky Suite is the hotel’s largest suite and features an expansive private terrace overlooking the Secret Garden and the city. It can be connected with a Deluxe Room to create a two-bedroom residence.

Architect Tommaso Ziffer redesigned the interior spaces under the supervision of Olga Polizzi, Director of Design at Rocco Forte Hotels, utilizing soothing colors, Italian furniture, artworks, and details inspired by Roman history. In recent years, the renovations have encompassed the rooms, suites, lobby, and restaurant.
As for exquisite dining, Hotel de Russie offers dishes from the Italian cuisine through Le Jardin de Russie restaurant, with a distinct presence of Roman traditions and local ingredients, while the garden transforms during the appropriate season into one of the most beautiful dining spaces in the hotel which is overseen by Executive Chef Alessandro Buffolino in collaboration with Fulvio Pierangelini.
In conclusion, a stay at a hotel like "Hotel de Russie" is not merely a stop on a tour of Rome, but an integral part of the city experience itself, seamlessly blending its rich, ancient history with the modernity of the present.
