Taif Hosts Crown Prince Camel Festival, Celebrates Heritage and Sport

The seventh edition of the Crown Prince Camel Festival, organized by Saudi Camel Sports, kicks off today at the Taif Camel Square in Taif.
On August 2, Saudi Camel Sports announced the festival’s schedule, featuring 249 rounds in the camel categories, along with five rounds of men’s and women’s camel races. The total prize pool exceeds SAR50 million.
Taif Camel Square is the only venue among the 45 camel racing tracks in the Kingdom equipped with solar-powered lighting for both the main and secondary tracks, which are used during the Crown Prince Camel Festival and other championships.
Launched in 2018, the Crown Prince Camel Festival has become a prominent annual event on the Kingdom’s heritage and sporting calendar, aiming to preserve and promote the heritage of camels as an integral part of Saudi culture. The festival has attracted growing interest from camel racing fans and enthusiasts from both inside and outside the Kingdom.
In previous editions, the festival has received five local and international awards, including four Guinness World Records titles.
