WAMY Commends Saudi Arabia's Exemplary Elderly Care Efforts
On the occasion of World Elder Abuse Awareness Day, observed annually on June 15, the World Assembly of Muslim Youth (WAMY) praised the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for its efforts in elderly care. WAMY highlighted that the comprehensive health, care, and rehabilitation services provided to the elderly reflect the Kingdom’s deep humanitarian and religious commitment.
The assembly specifically praised Saudi Arabia’s integrated social care system, which includes 12 dedicated homes across the Kingdom that offer comprehensive services to older adults. WAMY noted these efforts reinforce Saudi Arabia’s position as a nation that upholds human rights and safeguards dignity at every stage of life.
It also emphasized that these efforts are rooted in the Kingdom’s principles, drawn from the teachings of Islamic law and universal human values, and align with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, which prioritizes quality of life and social justice.
