Masam Project Clears over 1,290 Mines across Yemen

King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center's (KSrelief) Masam Project for clearing mines from Yemeni territory removed 1,293 mines across various parts of the country during the second week of July 2026. The total included 65 anti-tank mines, two anti-personnel mines, 1,218 unexploded ordnance items, and eight explosive devices.
 The total number of mines cleared since the beginning of July has reached 2,500. The overall number removed since the launch of the Masam Project has risen to 573,625. These mines had been indiscriminately planted across Yemen, claiming the lives of innocent children, women, and the elderly, and spreading fear among civilians.
 Through its humanitarian arm, KSrelief, Saudi Arabia continues its efforts to clear mines from Yemeni territory. The project enhances civilian safety and helps enable the Yemeni people to live in security and dignity.
