Ministry of Islamic Affairs Launches Seventh Scientific Course in Kenya
The seventh scientific course organized by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, represented by the Religious Attaché at the Saudi Embassy in Kenya, in cooperation with the Supreme Council of Kenya Muslims, represented by its office in northern Kenya, commenced today in Wajir County. The opening ceremony was attended by Wajir County Governor Ahmed Abdullahi and several officials.
The four-day course brings together around 70 imams, preachers, and students of Islamic studies. It is part of the ministry's scientific and dawah programs implemented outside the Kingdom to promote Islamic knowledge, reinforce the principles of moderation and balance, and spread the tolerant values of Islam.
In his opening remarks, Governor Abdullahi said the course represents an important step toward supporting educational programs that disseminate Islamic knowledge and promote moderation and balance. He commended Saudi Arabia's efforts to serve Islam and Muslims, and to support educational and dawah programs in countries around the world.
The course covers a range of scholarly and jurisprudential topics designed to enhance religious awareness, reinforce the principles of moderation and balance, and strengthen the participants' academic knowledge, enabling them to play a greater role in disseminating Islamic knowledge and serving their communities.
