Formula E: Jeddah E-Prix 2025 Sets All-Time High with 65 Million Viewers
Saudi Arabia continues to make history in the world of electric motorsport, as Formula E announced that the 2025 Jeddah E-Prix races held in February achieved a record-breaking viewership, making it the most-watched weekend in the championship's history with a total of 65 million viewers worldwide, according to analytical data from Kantar Media and Emplifi.
The pair of races took place under the lights of the Jeddah Corniche Circuit on February 14 and 15, marking an exciting new chapter for the championship along the Red Sea coast after six successful seasons in Diriyah. The unique atmosphere of the nighttime races, along with the cutting-edge design of the fastest street circuit in the world, solidified Saudi Arabia's growing reputation as a premier global destination for motorsport.
With the announcement of the Season 12 calendar, Formula E confirmed the return of the double-header nighttime races to the Jeddah Corniche Circuit on February 13 and 14, 2026, making it the only race of the season to be held under lights.
Formula E chief executive Jeff Dodds stated that the latest figures from its external providers “show the tremendous momentum behind the growth of our sport and highlight that not only do we have world-leading technology and acceleration in the cars, but that it’s producing some of the best most-competitive racing that old and new fans can’t get enough of,” according to the championship’s website.
"We’re building fan bases and fan loyalty in key and new markets,” he added.
