ECZA Launches Campaign Highlighting Strategic Sector Clusters in Special Economic Zones

The Economic Cities and Special Zones Authority (ECZA) launched a campaign today to highlight the strategic sector clusters in Saudi Arabia's Special Economic Zones, inviting investors from around the world to explore the opportunities they offer. The clusters contribute to attracting quality investments and diversifying the national economy, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 to increase non-oil revenues and provide sustainable jobs in promising sectors.
Major international companies, such as Lucid Motors and Hyundai, have quickly expanded their presence in the Kingdom, benefiting from the cluster effect that enables access to integrated supply chains, qualified human resources, and operational efficiencies. The campaign was launched on ECZA's official accounts on X and LinkedIn, with a focus on four main clusters.
The Special Economic Zone in King Abdullah Economic City hosts the automotive cluster within the King Salman Automotive Complex, which brings together leading investors, supported by advanced infrastructure and integrated logistics. Its proximity to King Abdullah Port enhances the manufacturing of vehicles, including electric vehicles, while also enabling the transport and logistics cluster through multimodal transport solutions and advanced supply chains.
The Jazan Special Economic Zone hosts the food processing and agribusiness cluster, drawing on the region’s natural resources and its strategic location on the Red Sea near the Bab el-Mandeb Strait, one of the world’s most important maritime trade routes, which facilitates exports and strengthens access to global markets.
The Ras Al Khair Special Economic Zone hosts the maritime cluster within the King Salman International Complex for Maritime Industries and Services, which includes the region's largest shipyard for building and repairing ships and offshore rigs. It is supported by advanced infrastructure and a strategic location near the Strait of Hormuz, another of the world's most important maritime trade routes, giving it the competitiveness to attract strategic investments in the maritime sector.
The Cloud Computing Special Economic Zone hosts the fourth cluster, specialized in cloud computing, supported by advanced digital infrastructure, streamlined setup procedures, and competitive energy prices that attract global technology companies.
Secretary-General of ECZA Nabil Khojah said the authority is committed to providing the right environment for the growth and sustainability of promising sectors, noting that supporting industrial clustering within Saudi Arabia's Special Economic Zones multiplies growth opportunities and contributes to achieving the Kingdom's economic diversification goals in line with Vision 2030.
