Ministry of Environment Launches Saudi Fig Week

The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture launched Saudi Fig Week today to promote locally grown fig varieties and highlight their nutritional benefits, while also supporting local farmers.

 The campaign was launched in collaboration with several major retail markets, featuring innovative packaging and display techniques for Saudi figs. These efforts aim to enhance the quality of the local product, which is highly sought after by consumers during its peak production season.

 The ministry emphasized that the primary goal of the campaign is to raise awareness about the nutritional benefits of local fruits available during their respective seasons throughout the year. Additionally, the initiative aims to support local farmers and increase access to their products across all markets in the Kingdom.

 The campaign also aims to boost sales, foster long-term partnerships between major fig producers and retail markets, create dedicated and innovative display areas that attract consumers, and leverage social media platforms to promote the nutritional benefits of figs.
