Kidana Earns Two ISO Certifications to Boost Operational Excellence in Holy Sites
Kidana Development Company has obtained two International Organization for Standardization (ISO) certifications, aimed at strengthening technological infrastructure and safeguarding information assets used to serve pilgrims in line with global best practices. The certifications cover information security and service management, reflecting Kidana’s commitment, as the executive arm of the Royal Commission for Makkah City and Holy Sites, to establishing governance principles and digital excellence.
Kidana was awarded the ISO/IEC 20000 certification for IT service management (ITSM). This highlights its implementation of integrated frameworks for handling incidents, service requests, and changes, enhancing the quality of technical services, improving beneficiary satisfaction, and increasing the reliability of operational systems during Hajj seasons.
In the area of information security, Kidana also secured the ISO/IEC 27001 certification, the leading global benchmark for information security management systems (ISMS). This standard focuses on strengthening readiness to respond to cyber threats and ensuring the confidentiality and integrity of information in line with Saudi regulatory requirements.
The achievement coincides with the company’s preparations for the Hajj season, highlighting the readiness of its digital systems to support operations across the holy sites.
