Qualitative Transformation, Accelerating Impact Led by Infrastructure Projects Center in Q1 2026
The infrastructure sector in Riyadh Region recorded a qualitative transformation in its regulatory and operational ecosystem during the first quarter of 2026, driven by a package of qualitative policies and initiatives launched by the Riyadh Infrastructure Projects Center, within a strategic direction aimed at raising execution efficiency, strengthening governance, and enhancing quality of life in the region.
Among the top efforts was the adoption of a requirement mandating the completion of infrastructure services as a fundamental condition for approving new residential plans, in addition to launching the “Osool” program and activating nine regulatory initiatives that contribute to developing the sector and improving its operational efficiency.
The implementation of new controls for licenses and permits also began, alongside the automation of compensation for traffic accidents related to projects, enhancing procedural efficiency and improving output quality.
This accelerated performance reflects the Infrastructure Projects Center's direction toward building a more efficient and sustainable system that contributes to improving the quality of life and supports achieving urban development objectives in Riyadh.
