KSrelief Launches Saudi Noor Volunteer Project for Eye Surgeries in Yemen’s Aden
The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) launched the Saudi Noor Volunteer Project to conducting eye surgeries in Yemen’s Aden Governorate, running from September 7 to 14.
Since the start of the volunteer campaign, the KSrelief’s team, comprising six volunteers from various specialties, has performed 22 retinal surgeries, 10 surgeries to correct strabismus (crossed eyes), five glaucoma surgeries, and four orbital surgeries. The program also delivered 98 retinal injections, 80 laser treatments, and 19 minor procedures.
All procedures concluded with success.
The project forms part of Saudi Arabia’s humanitarian and relief efforts, carried out through KSrelief, to support the healthcare sector and assist low-income patients suffering from eye conditions in brotherly and friendly countries.
