Saudi Electricity Company Conducts First Load Test Ahead of Hajj Season
Under the direct supervision of the Ministry of Energy and in coordination with the Saudi Electricity Regulatory Authority and other relevant authorities, the Saudi Electricity Company conducted the first comprehensive test of the public electric network by managing maximum electrical loads across all locations to simulate actual conditions and ensure reliable service at the holy sites during the Hajj season 1446 AH.
The test aims to assess the efficiency of the public electrical network, evaluate load capacities, and ensure integration among the various participating entities. This will verify the network's preparedness and its ability to provide safe and reliable electrical services, allowing all parties involved in serving pilgrims to fulfill their responsibilities and enhance the pilgrim experience by ensuring smooth and tranquil performance of rituals.
The company has announced plans to conduct a second comprehensive test of the public electrical network at the holy sites on Dhu Al-Qi’dah 29.
