Aramco F4 Saudi Arabian Championship: A Platform for Developing National Talent On and Off the Track
Competition in motorsport extends beyond the races and challenges on the track. Long before the cars take to the circuit, extensive behind-the-scenes efforts bring together drivers, engineers, mechanics, and marketing, hospitality, and operations teams. These efforts ensure that teams and cars are ready, the event runs smoothly, and spectators enjoy a distinctive experience.
These efforts span technical, organizational, and operational aspects, reflecting the complementary roles within the motorsport ecosystem.
Under the sporting supervision of the Saudi Automobile and Motorcycle Federation (SAMF), the Aramco F4 Saudi Arabian Championship helps showcase national talent and expertise and strengthen their presence across various fields of motorsport, both on the track and in supporting roles and specializations.
For young drivers, Formula 4 is one of the early steps in the transition from karting to single-seater racing. It marks the beginning of a new stage that requires more than speed alone. Drivers must understand their cars, interpret data, manage races, and work closely with engineers and mechanics.
At the same time, the championship opens up opportunities beyond the driver's seat, giving young Saudis practical exposure to fields such as engineering, mechanics, marketing, media, hospitality, crowd management, race organization, and fan-zone operations.
In the 2026 season, the championship continues to provide opportunities for drivers and national talent, building on growing Saudi participation in recent seasons.
The championship also contributes to developing Saudi talent through the "Home of Tomorrow's Champions" initiative, launched by ALTAWKILAT Motorsport alongside the championship.
Targeting Saudi men and women aged 15 to 25, the initiative offers workshops, specialized sessions, and hands-on experiences. These activities introduce participants to various career paths in motorsport, from engineering and logistics to event management, media, and business development.
The Aramco F4 Saudi Arabian Championship brings together two parallel pathways: one focused on preparing young drivers and developing their competitive abilities, and the other providing Saudi talent with opportunities to gain practical experience across technical, organizational, and operational fields associated with motorsport.
As the championship continues and its programs expand, opportunities for participation extend beyond competition on the track, opening up new career paths for young Saudis in the motorsport sector.
