APD, ZATCA Partner to Enhance Services for Persons with Disabilities at Customs Ports

The Authority of People with Disability (APD) has signed a cooperation memorandum with the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) to enhance services and facilities for persons with disabilities at customs ports. The memorandum aims to improve their experience in line with the Law of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.

The agreement seeks to enhance the readiness of customs ports to serve persons with disabilities by developing staff capabilities and providing the necessary facilities. It also provides for cooperation in organizing awareness and empowerment programs, workshops, and campaigns. These activities aim to highlight the rights, capabilities, and contributions of persons with disabilities, raise public awareness, and support their inclusion and empowerment across various fields.

The memorandum builds on APD's efforts to strengthen partnerships with government entities and improve services for beneficiaries. These efforts contribute to greater participation in society and support the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 in building an inclusive society with equal opportunities.
