Makkah Route Initiative Continues to Serve Pilgrims from Bangladesh
The Makkah Route Initiative, one of the initiatives of the Ministry of Interior under the Pilgrim Experience Program, part of Vision 2030, continues to serve pilgrims from Bangladesh.
The initiative is implemented in cooperation with several government entities across 10 countries through 17 international ports. It facilitates pilgrims’ travel to the Kingdom via a dedicated lounge at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka.
Now in its eighth year, and implemented in Bangladesh for the sixth time since its launch in 2017, the initiative reflects the Kingdom’s ongoing commitment to providing high-quality services to pilgrims.
Pilgrims from Bangladesh expressed their satisfaction with the reception and streamlined procedures, including completing travel formalities in their home country and having their luggage transferred directly to their accommodations in Makkah and Madinah, which facilitated their journey to perform Umrah and Hajj rituals.
