HRH the Crown Prince Chairs Cabinet Session in Riyadh

His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, chaired the Cabinet session held in Riyadh today.
 HRH the Crown Prince briefed the Cabinet on the content of a message he received from Russian President Vladimir Putin and on his meeting with State of Palestine Vice President Hussein Al-Sheikh.
 In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency following the session, Minister of Media Salman Al-Dossary said that the Cabinet reviewed regional and international developments, with a focus on the situation in the occupied Palestinian territories. The Cabinet noted the Kingdom's ongoing efforts to engage with the international community to end the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and ensure the delivery of relief aid in full cooperation with international mechanisms.
 The Cabinet underscored the significance of the joint statement by the foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia and Italy, which reaffirmed their commitment to achieving a just, secure, and comprehensive peace in the Middle East. It also called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and condemned any actions that jeopardize the two-state solution.
 Domestically, the Cabinet praised Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud's patronage of the ninth Future Investment Initiative (FII) conference. The event, to be held in Riyadh from October 27 to 30, 2025, will focus on using investment to create a prosperous and sustainable future for humanity under the theme "The Key to Prosperity."
 The Cabinet addressed other items on its agenda and issued several decisions, including the following:
 First:
 Establishing a Board of Trustees for the Esports World Cup Foundation for a term of three years, chaired by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
 Second:
 Authorizing the minister of foreign affairs, or a deputy, to discuss and sign with the Moldovan side a draft memorandum of understanding on political consultations between the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Moldovan Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
 Third:
 Approving a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in plant protection and plant quarantine measures between the Saudi Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture and the Azerbaijani Food Safety Agency.
 Fourth:
 Approving a regional cooperation protocol for the management of fisheries and marine aquaculture in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden.
 Fifth:
 Approving a memorandum of understanding for cooperation in mineral resources between the Saudi Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources and the Department for Business and Trade of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
 Sixth:
 Approving two agreements in the field of air transport services between the Saudi Government and the governments of the Republic of Liberia and the Republic of Ecuador.
 Seventh:
 Approving two memoranda of understanding on preventing and combating corruption between the Saudi Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority and the Republic of Uzbekistan’s General Prosecutor’s Office and Anti-Corruption Agency.
 Eighth:
 Approving the model memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the field of human rights between the Saudi Human Rights Commission and its counterparts in other countries, and authorizing the president of the Human Rights Commission, or a deputy, to discuss and sign draft memoranda of understanding with counterparts based on the approved model.
 Ninth:
 Approving a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the peaceful use of outer space between the Government of Saudi Arabia, represented by the Saudi Space Agency, and the Government of the Republic of India, represented by the Indian Space Research Organization.
