Saudi Foundation and UK College Partner to Empower People with Disabilities
The Sa3ee Foundation for the Rehabilitation and Employment for Disabilities signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the City of Glasgow College in the United Kingdom to enhance cooperation in vocational and social rehabilitation programs, and exchange expertise and knowledge on the integration of persons with disabilities into the labor market.
The MoU aims to support both parties' efforts in establishing a sustainable strategic partnership that contributes to developing the capabilities of persons with disabilities and increasing their readiness to engage in local and international job markets. This initiative reflects both parties' commitment to advancing social and economic empowerment pathways.
Areas of cooperation include designing and implementing specialized vocational and social training programs for persons with disabilities; enhancing collaboration in training, employment, and empowerment; exchanging knowledge, expertise, and resources to ensure the sustainability and effectiveness of joint initiatives; and enhancing the competencies of professionals working with persons with disabilities through specialized training. The agreement also includes awareness and training programs for families to enable them to support and empower their children.
This MoU is part of Sa3ee’s broader efforts to build international partnerships that strengthen empowerment opportunities and develop the rehabilitation and employment ecosystem, in alignment with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 to create an inclusive society that empowers all individuals and enhances their quality of life.
