Attorney General Inaugurates Workshop on Investigating Terrorism Crimes in Cairo
Attorney General of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Chairman of the Arab Association for Public Prosecutors Sheikh Saud bin Abdullah Al-Mujib inaugurated a specialized workshop titled “Methods of Investigating Terrorism Crimes” in Cairo. The event was organized by the Egyptian Public Prosecution Office and attended by Egypt’s Attorney General Counselor Mohamed Shawky, along with public prosecutors and representatives from prosecution offices across Arab member states.
In his opening remarks, Sheikh Al-Mujib highlighted the significance of the workshop as a key step toward enhancing joint judicial cooperation among Arab countries. He noted that the gathering serves as an essential platform for exchanging professional expertise and best practices in the field of criminal investigations, particularly those related to terrorism, which poses a growing threat to societal and economic security across the region.
“Holding such workshops and training programs helps build the capacity of public prosecutors and reinforces both professional and fraternal ties between member states,” he said. “These forums provide an opportunity for constructive dialogue on legal classifications, modern investigation techniques, and the shared challenges we face in confronting terrorism.”
Sheikh Al-Mujib commended the proactive roles played by Arab prosecution offices in counterterrorism efforts. He expressed confidence that the workshop would help promote swift and effective justice and strengthen public trust in judicial institutions across the Arab world.
